This week HomeKit Australia announced that it's new range of NVMe PCIe SSD (Solid State Drive) will be shipping this month.

Initially HomeKit Australia will be stocking 512GB, 1TB and 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD's plus 2TB 2.5" SATA III SSD's.

The 2.5" SSD's will be also available as a see-through external drive solution.

Solid State hard drives - more commonly referred to as SSD's - are rapidly replacing the traditional magnetic or platter hard drives.

However, when you are searching for an external SSD drive it can be quite confusing.

Our series of SSD drives kicks off with a dual NVMe and SATA case, continuing through to our premium Thunderbolt SSD drives.

Solid State Drives or SSD's operate in a similar fashion to your computer memory.

Both use IC's (Integrated Circuits) or chips for data storage which makes them significantly faster than older mechanical hard drives.

HomeKit Australia has added its own branding to its range of Thunderbolt SSD drives and Thunderbolt SSD cases.

HomeKit Australia has NVMe SSD cases beginning at $49.95 and 2TB SSD drives for $89.95 whilst stocks last.

A new range of NVMe cases is also pending and like the Thunderbolt 4 SSD cases, these will also carry the HomeKit Australia brand.

Thunderbolt 4 cases are still relatively unknown in Australia.

A Thunderbolt 4 case enables you to select fast NVMe SSD's and use these as an external SSD drive.

A true Thunderbolt 4 case will transfer data at 40Gbps so be sure you are getting a fully fledged Thunderbolt 4 case when you select a Thunderbolt case to purchase.
