SSD drives will be a core item at the HomeKit Australia online store heading into 2022.
Launching in late September, our own HomeKit Australia 1TB and 2TB SSD's feature Toshiba and Hynix Grade 1 NVMe SSD's respectively.
Around the same time as the launch and shipping of what we hope are Australia's best priced NVMe SSD's, HomeKit Australia will begin shipping a new range of both Thunderbolt and NVMe external SSD solutions.
Based around the new 1TB SSD and 2TB SSD NVMe SSD's, these external drives will be our entry point to high performance external SSD drives.
NVMe allows access to the computer's PCIe bus, providing maximum data transfer throughput.
Whilst not providing the same sorts of speed as our Thunderbolt SSD drives, these SSD external drives are an extremely affordable introduction into SSD's that actually offer acceptable data transfer speeds.
Please avoid the "cheap" SSD drives that typically offer quite slow data throughputs and sometimes suspect SSD internals.
Always be on the lookout for NVMe PCIe and beware of cases stating SATA or NGFF, as they are significantly slower than NVMe.
HomeKit Australia's NVMe SSD cases offer 10Gbps data throughput and will work with an M Key NVMe 2280 SSD that you may have or wish to purchase.
These NVMe SSD cases include a 225mm black USB-C to USB-C cable.
