Konjac sponges are made from natural konjac root (a vegetable that you can eat - you might have seen Konjac pastas in the supermarket), and were initially used by Japanese farmers to cleanse their baby's skin.
Konjac sponges are a natural face and body cleansing sponge, with a soft texture making it a gentle and natural alternative to traditional shower and bath sponges. It works to remove oil and dirt from the surface of your skin by gently exfoliating away oils and dirt.
Simply, you cannot get anything more natural to wash with.
Konjac sponges are a new addition to the HomeKit Australia healthy living collection.
Konjac sponges are a great, gentle exfoliator. Konjac sponges are ideal to use on your whole body in the shower or bath.
Do remember that Konjac sponges both shrink and harden when left to dry, so please soak them in water for a minute or two to soften them up before using. This is actually great for when you are travelling as your shower sponge dries out and takes up less space.
When your konjac sponge arrives, you will notice that it is a hard and dry. So, before using, please soak it in warm water for a few minutes, until it has softened and expanded.
Once it has softened, squeeze out the excess water and apply soap or cleanser. Use the sponge in a upward, circular motion and gently clean and exfoliate.
To keep your Konjac sponge clean is extremely easy and can be done by simply rinsing your sponge under cool water.
From there, gently squeeze out excess water, ensuring not to wring or twist it as this may tear the sponge. Once you’ve squeezed out all excess water, leave you sponge in a well-ventilated area and allow it to dry.
